The Certifying Committee of the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Western Region (MMCC WR) was effected by the order issued by the head of the Military and Medical Clinical center of the Western Region as of August 23, 2007 #33 on the basis pursuant to the decree by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine as of the April 25, 1998 #176 “On confirmation of the Instruction regarding awarding qualification categories to military servicemen of medical and pharmaceutical training and specialties.”
The Certifying Committee of the MMCC WR conducts certification of doctors, pharmaceutical chemists, pharmacists and junior specialists educated at the Military Medical Clinical center of the Western Region, affiliated military medical institutions and the military-base medical units within the areas of the hospital’s regional responsibility that include: Lviv, Ternopil, Rivne, Volyn, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk.
The certification is conducted in order to upgrade qualifications standards and augment professional skills level. It is aimed to advance and improve the quality of medical care and services rendered. Further, it is aimed to increase work efficiency while improving manpower deployment by taking into account professional excellence, experience and work complexity. The certification is a critical and integral measure to guarantee improvement in standards to better the performance of the military health care facilities and military-base medical units alongside to further facilitate medical care advancement.
The meetings of the Certifying Committee of the Military Medical Clinical center of the Western Region are held on a quarterly basis in accordance with the annual schedule, approved prior to the beginning of a new calendar year. The Certifying Committee of the Military and Medical Clinical center of the Western Region consists of:
Head of the Committee: Colonel of the medical service, V. V. Zaytsev, deputy head of the center, head of the operational medical authority of the Military and Medical Clinical center of the Western Region.
Deputy Head of the Committee: Colonel of the medical service, O. O. Pokhliebayev, deputy head of the center, head of the medical work of the Military Medical Clinical center of the Western Region.
Secretary of the Committee: Medical Service Major, V. M. Hnativ, head of medical and preventive work of the operational medical authority of the Military and Medical Clinical center of the Western Region.

Work of the MMCC WR Certifying Committee is conducted according to the following orders:
